Menu Update April 6-10, 2020

All children 0-18 years old are eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch, under the National School Lunch Program.  Children/families can pick up meals from the Kitchen Door by the Cafeteria Entrance, from 9-11 AM, Monday through Friday, until schools are back in session.  We ask that parents and students remain in their vehicle, in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Update: March 31, 2020

Dear Parents, Students and Community,

As you are aware the Governor has announced school closures for the remainder of the school year. We will continue to provide school work to enhance our student learning opportunities. This will include on-line classes and paper and pencil homework and technical support.

Grades K-2
Home work packets were delivered for two weeks, on the March 24, 2020. Weekly completed work can be dropped off at the lunch pickup. Teachers are now working on creating packets for the next two weeks. Please make sure your child’s name and grade level is on all papers. We will contact you when the new packets are ready for distribution. 

Grades 3-5

We will contact you when the new packets are ready for distribution. Additionally, we are working with our technology department to create online lessons to support team learning. You will be notified when you can pick-up your child’s chrome book.

Grades 6-8
If you have homework ready to turn in you may turn them in at the lunch line start on Wednesday April 1, 2020. The majority of student work is to be submitted online, teachers are checking daily. If you need additional support please have your child contact their classroom teacher via Google Classroom.

Additional Information

Meals will continue to be provided at the Ramada. Menu items may vary depending upon availability of items.

Homework can be dropped off between 9:00 – 11:00 AM, Monday thru Friday at the Ramada.

If anything changes on your contact information please inform the school so that we may contact you.

All your child’s personal items will be bagged/tagged and made available in the near future. Information will be forthcoming.

Family, Students and Community,

Under the directive of Arizona State Governor Ducey, Superintendent Hoffman, Secretary of State Hobbs, and Gila County Superintendent Sandoval, Pine Strawberry Elementary Administration has been notified that Arizona Public Schools will be closed for the remainder of the year.  Based on the limited information we have received regarding the required closing of all State Public schools, we will follow state requirements. We will provide additional information once it is made available. We ask for your understanding and patience during these unique times. Our priorities will always be to our family, students and staff.

Welcome to Pine Strawberry Elementary School District (PSESD) located in the beautiful Rim Country and the ponderosa pines of Central Arizona! Important Public Notice, April, 2020

NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD:
Any individual or organization may submit written comments on the proposed waiver pursuant to 34 C.F.R. §200.6(c)(4).
Written comments shall be accepted through April 24, 2020.

Due to the CoVid-19  shutdown of school classrooms, the state has applied for and been granted permission to gather public comments for a waiver of high stakes testing this year (AZM2 and AIMS).
