Technology

Welcome to Technology Class!
Each week, students will engage with hands-on tech lessons ranging from keyboarding and internet navigation to basic coding and robotics. These activities are designed to be fun and age-appropriate, with an emphasis on real-world application and responsible use.
Technology Class Goals:
-Help students understand the scope of the internet and their responsibilities therein
-How to be respectful in regards to technology and digital spaces
-How to be a safe, secure digital citizen
-Proficiency in typing and basic computer skills
-To better incorporate technology into other classes or everyday life
-To encourage critical thinking, creativity, logic, and reasoning skills in the face of any problem
-Encourage curiosity and readiness in regards to the future
Keys to Success:
Success in Technology class begins with respect: for the tools we use, the people we interact with online, and the responsibility that comes with being a digital citizen. Students will be expected to approach each lesson with curiosity, a willingness to problem-solve, and a mindset ready for growth. Whether mastering typing, navigating the internet safely, or exploring coding and robotics, students who stay engaged and open to learning will thrive. By developing logical reasoning, tech fluency, and a future-ready attitude, students will not only strengthen their skills in class but will also remain tech-ready for the rest of their lives!
